Masquerada: Songs and Shadows is a tactical RPG with masquerades as the center of its theme, both in the gameplay and in the development of the story. The game is presented with beautifully hand-crafted graphics and a quite elegant audio section.

So, what is the story about?
As we finish the prologue (the tutorial) we are set in the story of the game.
We play as Cicero Gavar, an exiled man, who in need of money to help his parents, returns to his city Ombre to accept a mission to search for a missing diplomat Retizof. So we get our masquerade and we will enter the citadel to discover that this case hides a larger conspiracy and discoveries that the leaders themselves do not know. What was Retizof investigating? What are the masquerades and how have powers?

So, what is the gameplay?
As tactical party RPG, you will count with 2 allies (of your choice as you progress) for the fights with their stablished element, you can choose your element at the beginning.
And now, about the elements, their use is very simple, you tag an enemy with yours and any other element will be more effective, without having any complexity, as well as other mechanics, the AI of your allies (and your character too if you swap) will be enough to win most fights.

Is it recommended?
It depends, if you are looking for a challenge this might not be your choice, unless you set a limit for yourself, but if you are new to tactical RPGs and are looking for an interesting story with a good visuals, this might be a good game to start with. You can complete it in 12 hours
