Title: A Journey Scross Enchantment - Trine 2: Complete Story Review
Flowing through the enchanted world of Trine 2: Complete Story, I was tucked away into a painting done in beautiful colors and rich romance beyond all imagination. The game was less of a sequel and more of an invitation into a soft symphony of puzzles, platforming, and a storyline that sounded very much like a whispering legend unraveling before my eyes.

Graphics: 9/10
Since my very first step into the magical lands of Trine 2, I have been entrapped by such visual impeccability. Every level is alive as a beautiful painting made with painstaking detail and warmth indicative of a storybook. The wild and wet, bright and merry open forests beheld glistening rivers and shadowy, mystical caves, also enshrined with activities from a crown of fluttering enchanted butterflies to soft twinkling fairy lights dancing about in the air. It's this effortless combined style of fantastical and serene; every scene a new wonder that feels as though it were stepping into a dream. The graphics have a rather fairy-tale charm about them, but occasional texture pop-in does remind the magic has its limits.

Gameplay: 8.5/10
The gameplay harmonically interlaces all three, Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight, and Zoya the Thief, into a symphony of cooperative puzzle solving. While switching between them I sit in awe as to how the game inspires creativity and even experimentation, sometimes levitating objects with Amadeus' magic or bashing through enemies like a wrecking ball with Pontius' raw force and, of course, Zoya's grappling hook to preferentially hop some gaps. That said, however, which definitely shines is the cooperative mode. It immediately brings this otherworldliness to the trip with one's friend by making it a delightful dance of wit and merriment; however, with a part of me imagining how difficult it could be with more players.

Story: 8/10
The enchanting narrative does indeed weave a tale with much whimsy and adventure narrated through the eyes of the three heroic companions who fate draws together in this tale of the mysterious artifact known as the Trine. As they delve deeper into their quest to restore balance to their world, I found the storytelling beautiful, although it did tread the familiar path of the hero's journey without really exploring much new territory. It sparkled with charm in the dialogue, and moments of levity happened amidst character interactions, but I wished for more depth in the emotional stakes involved.

Sound: 9/10
The sound design would wrap arms all around me-from the ethereal score suddenly swelling with emotion as I jumped through enchanted vistas, to the environmental sounds that seem to give life into the space. The music beautifully catered towards flowing seamlessly between calm and upbeat, lacing each scene with mood. Rich in voice acting, every character resonated with unique personalities using matting dialog amidst joking during perilous traps.

Replayability: 7.5/10
Of course, Trine 2 has an interesting one-player campaign and a lot of cooperatives, but the actual repetition of its storyline seems to dwindle after having gotten all the collectibles and opened everything. The pursuit of mastering and doing the puzzles perfectly is somewhat exciting, but I'm wishing there were more alternate paths or endings to draw me back into its world.

Overall Score: 8.5/10
Trine 2: Complete Story is really a fairy tale fully enlivened through colors, whimsy, and delightful gameplay mechanics. It's a wonderful mixture of platforming and puzzles, which is welcomingly inviting to independent players or friends gallivanting on a magical quest through charm and intrigue. The game, anyhow, does not shockingly change the platforming genre or revolutionize it, but definitely, the adventure is its own right-more than worth every enchanted moment spent crossing such beautifully crafted realms.
In the end, I felt Trine 2 not only content-filled but left the mind with a bit of nostalgia for the next whimsical jaunt lying just beyond the horizon. So, dear traveler, if you desire a game fluttery as a fairy's wing and sweet as a tale spun from moonlight, stop here and let yourself be embraced by the magic of Trine 2: Complete Story.
