Sacred 3 Review
Rating: 4/10

When it comes to action RPGs, Sacred 3 was set for glory, especially with me being an ardent supporter of the genre and an admirer of the earlier titles in the series. Sadly, this game left much to be desired, and my disappointment outweighed the satisfaction I embarked on while playing. 😞

Gameplay (3/10)
The gameplay mechanics feel too simple compared to Sacred 2. The hack-and-slash aspect makes one feel as if one is in an endless barrage of combat, but it's also very boring at the same time. I found myself spamming the same moves again and again, with hardly any tactical gameplay to speak of. The classes indeed went through a major simplification, and I miss the depth of customization and variety I had come to expect. It just felt wrong in a game that could have completely embraced unique builds and play-styles. 💔

Graphics (6/10)
On the bright side, the graphics are okay. The environments have bright colors while the character models seem well. But they didn't have that special touch or immersiveness attached. There were patches of beauty strewn around, but beautification was never going to be this game's saving grace. A visual masterpiece could easily lose its charm when the mechanics fail miserably. 🌍✨

Story (4/10)
The story itself is quite forgettable. It certainly doesn't reinvent the wheel; in fact, it really fails to engage me at any level. I was looking for a story with tons of lore, character development, and interest, but instead, it went for the standard quest route with no interest whatsoever-the kind that uses typical textbook objectives. It is just as painfully disappointing that the characters and world could have accounted for richer narrative engagement but didn't. 📖😒

Multiplayer (5/10)
I had been looking forward to the multiplayer experience with friends, but it was buggy and never really drew me in. Firing up your friends and battling with them was cool, but the lagging and disconnections made it extremely frustrating. It was much more like a chore than fun, which is exactly what I didn't want from a cooperative experience. 🕹ī¸đŸ¤ˇâ€â™‚ī¸

Overall Experience (4/10)
Sacred 3 had everything to become an excellent action role-playing game, but it almost feels disappointed in each and every aspect. A complete classic case of style over substance; while some sections are actually good, shallowness, mindless gameplay, and uninspiring story combine to make the game feel less recommendable. Disappointment is something I am not able to overcome; I wanted to love this game. Play it if you are a staunch fan, but just go in with lowered expectations. 😔💔

Final Thoughts: Sacred 3 is a failed game, and here I am hoping for the day when the series can come to recover its former charm in some future sequels.
