Game Review: Amnesia: Rebirth (7/10) đŽ
I am not a huge lover of the horror genre but when i saw Amnesia: Rebirth, I really wanted to try it out! This is my verdict on the experience. So sit tight, as I untangle the intrigue-spiked terror and a tad bit of irritation that it brings.

Storyline: 8/10 đ
As soon as started the game, the story immediately began haunting me. The main protagonist (Tasi) brought upon her sorrow and urgency through the Algerian desert, a travel experience at once sweetened with the most violent, haunting yet surreal overtones. Memory loss, and survival were some of the topics addressed in the narrative, which kept me absolutely interested. Most impressive was the emotional depth of the characters, to the extent Tasi's fate really was important to me.

Gameplay Mechanics: 6/10 đšī¸
While i enjoyed the typical mechanics of the Amnesia games, there were some aspects here which I've found a bit awkward. There have been certain occasions when manipulating the controls was difficult, particularly at tense moments where my attention was divided between avoiding monsters and manipulating the environment. There were some very easy puzzles, others moderately challenging, but one or two seemed utterly bizarre and broke the experience for me.

Atmosphere and Graphics: 9/10 đ
Indeed, this is the main selling point in Amnesia: Rebirth. Spectacular graphics, wonderfully done environments that are a perfect embodiment of the whole eeriness the game is famous for. The sound design also requires a special mention-every wind healing whisper and creaking floorboard further set my hair standing. I would truly want to be in that world, and my heart raced in the most suspenseful moments.

Horror Elements: 7/10 đģ
I expected more from the scares. Some are pretty creepy and make my spine tingle, but some jump scares I find a little too overused and predictable. The build-up was top-notch, but some enemy face-offs felt repetitive. Thankfully, though, the dread atmosphere and fear of the unknown kept me engaged throughout my playthrough.

Replayability: 5/10 đ
I can't imagine playing Amnesia: Rebirth again anytime soon. Its story is engrossing but one-dimensional, making it hard to replay the game. Once the mystery is solved and the memorable moments are experienced, the thrills get less. There are collectibles and alternative endings, but they didn't have enough draw for me to want to play the game again immediately.

Final Thoughts: 7/10 â
All in all, Amnesia: Rebirth has atmospheric horror as far as story and world-building go. Laser-perfect performance, though, in everything a horror game is meant to have: mechanics and replayability. Flaws and all, however, I enjoyed venturing into the haunted journey of Tasi, and it will remain in memory.
If you are a horror game junkie like me, then Amnesia: Rebirth is definitely worth a try, especially if you're into great characters and an atmospheric environment. Just know that a few bumps might come along the way!đđ¤
