Overcooked is a fast, cooperative cooking game where players dash to prepare, cook, and serve various meals under the harshest time limits possible. The game is all about working together, communicating and making lightning-fast decisions, resulting in one of the best local multiplayer experiences around.

Levels (referred to as kitchens) get increasingly crazy with obstacles like moving platforms, conveyor belts, fires, and changing layouts. Players juggle hacking ingredients for frying, boiling, and plating deliveries and delivering them to avoid hazards and keeping the ever-growing row of hungry customers satisfied.

These controls are very basic while the gameplay is well-crafted and designed to work best with friends-a fun experience that turns into a hilarious shouting match with an unfiltered, yet daring, fuzzy adventure. Even in multiplayer mode, one would find that the game itself advises against playing the game on your own but rather by connecting to another player online.

Graphics & Art Style – 8.5/10

The design of the game is very cute and fun to look at as the color of the characters have been deliberately enhanced in order to produce animation. Different kitchens come with different themes making every kitchen fun and interesting to explore.

The visuals in general are uncomplicated but they are good enough to help players see clearly where are the ingredients, stations and also what they have to do in the kitchen.

Sound & Music – 8/10

The soundtrack is energetic and whimsical, perfectly matching the game's chaotic and fun nature. The music speeds up as the timer runs out, adding tension and urgency to each round.

The sound effects are well done, from the sizzle of a frying pan to the stress-inducing beeping of a nearly burnt dish. The lack of voice acting is fine, as the game relies on player communication and natural reactions to generate the best moments.

Story & Atmosphere – 7/10

The title contains a short but hilarious story that implies the planet is in danger of something food-related that can't be stopped, and only chefs can avert this fate by proving their ability to cook at unusual kitchens. Although the story is not paramount, it still manages to keep the players interested and allows them to laugh and lightly enjoy the game.

The ambiance is generally inclined towards humor, and this makes it the same fun for everyone no matter their skills.

Replayability – 9.5/10

With dozens of levels, different difficulty challenges, and hilarious multiplayer moments, Overcooked has incredible replay value. The dynamic nature of cooperative play means no two games feel exactly the same, and perfecting levels for high scores encourages multiple playthroughs.
