Adventure Tine: The Secret of The Nameless Kingdom. This one is top down action adventure with puzzles backtracking. If you ever played Zelda Link to the Past you what kinds game is this. I’m surprised there is only game in AT franchise like this, should’ve been at least three. When I first saw the pilot episode of this show I was impressed quite a lot. And I was big fan of it till around season 5 or 6. It was the time when… rainbow happened. So focus of the show went from adventures of young champion of the Candy Kingdom and his magic dog to strong independent women who need no man. Christ they did my boy Finn dirty. But let’s stop with my opinion on the show and go back to my opinion on this game.

First the plot. It’s simple and it fits the spirit of AT perfectly. So there was that piece of land probably still recovering from radiation effect from millennium ago caused by a nuclear world war. But three princesses sister came to that land and they fixed the place (not really there are still leftovers of the apocalypse scattered around). Let’s just say they made the land inhabitable again. The princesses’ names are Nightmare Princess, Slumber Princess and Lullaby Princess. They all did their part and when the job was done question rose up. Who will be the princess of that land? They never managed to decide and sometime later all three disappeared. So Princess Bonnibel Bubblegum being “cork in every barrel” send Finn and Jake to pick one princess to rule the kingdom and finally give it a name. But our duo being who they are (adhd teens) completely filtered out what Bubblegum said to them. But thankfully the butler of the nameless kingdom reminded them of their quest.

Gameplay. It’s just like good old Zelda. You run around, slash at monsters and bushes, trying to figure out how to unlock the path to your next destination. Well what can you do? You can swing your cursed grass blade, you can use Jake as your shield. You can lift bushes and pots. You can collect three different trail mixes ingredients and assemble them at the witches shop, you need plastic bags for those. Right, plastic baggies are big part of this game because all of items apart from Flambo will go into one of your plastic bags. There are short cuts to all of your plastic bags via ring menu. You can some tools at “Choose Goose” store. As you progress you will get upgrades. Some are essential and others can be skipped. There will also be collectable items, you can even have your own version of sword beam. Plus of course side quests. All of that while cheerful and adventurous music plays. It is also fully voiced.

I love this game a lot as Much as I love “Adventure Time: Hey Ice King, Where Is Our Garbage” for Nintendo DS. I recommend everyone to play it, it’s not that long compared to “Link to the Past”. But as you all know it franchise is owned by Cartoon Network so it was pulled away from Steam store around five years ago like most of Adventure Time games on Steam, I think only Pirates on Enchiridion still remains and that DLC for Finn&Jake investigatons. But matey we all know what to in that case yarrr!
